 Norton Sound king crab CDQs (about 9,900 pounds in 2002) will be harvested by residents of the region using locally owned fishing vessels and legal pot gear as permitted by the ADF&G for commercial king crab fishing in the district.
The fishery will take place in the Norton Sound district probably in a June to August timeframe each year. NSEDC will coordinate this program with NSSP
for availability of vessels and optimum
harvest periods.
