Are you interested in working in the commercial fishing industry?

January 29, 2016 By NSEDC

NSEDC is looking to connect Norton Sound residents with jobs in the fishing industry!

Through our partnerships in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Island fishing industry, Norton Sound Economic Development Corporation (NSEDC) may be able to assist Norton Sound residents in obtaining employment in various seafood processing and harvesting operations.

Potential jobs are available with multiple NSEDC partners, including work onboard large catcher/processor vessels, crab vessels, long-lining vessels, and tender vessels.

Norton Sound Residents who have successfully completed NSEDC-sponsored seafood processing training or have prior fishery-related employment experience are encouraged to contact NSEDC to learn about possible employment opportunities.

Residents who have not completed the basic seafood processor course and do not have processing experience are also encouraged to contact NSEDC to learn about upcoming training opportunities.

For more information on employment with NSEDC’s industry partners and/or training opportunities, contact NSEDC EET Director Jesse Blandford in Nome at 1-888-650-2477 or jesse@nsedc.com.
