Norton Sound Seafood Products (NSSP) announces an anticipated opening of the 2017 Norton Sound open access red king crab season on Monday, June 26. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, NSSP will be requesting that ADF&G open the season on this date.
The summer GHL is approximately 420,000 pounds. All CDQ crab was harvested during the winter fishery. A dock price has yet to be determined, but will be announced prior to the season’s start.
